學校簡介
薩里大學 (University of Surrey) 於1966年獲得皇家授予大學資格，其悠久的歷史可回溯至1891年的巴特西技術學院 (Battersea Polytechnic Institute)，該學院位於倫敦巴特西公園，創校宗旨在於提升倫敦居民接受高等教育的機會；因著重於科學與技術的研發而造就學院的優質聲譽，使學院躍升為當時期的高科技學院之一，其後伴隨著學院的持續發展，學校將校區遷移至位於薩里郡的吉爾福德市 (Guildford)。於2016年時大學慶祝創校125周年紀念，並於當年度為泰晤士報獲選為英國大學之最。
薩里大學最重要的發展之一莫過於由肯特公爵於1985年揭幕的薩里研究園區 (Surrey Research Park)，園區內設立逾百間相關企業機構，招聘逾兩千名員工，致力於研究發展工作，且多數專業人士同時於大學內任教。此外，大學與全球產業擁有緊密的聯繫，提供逾兩千個實習機會，相關企業包含: 甲骨文公司 (Oracle)、摩根史坦利 (Morgan Stanley)、華特迪士尼公司 (Walt Disney Company) 等。學校發展至今已培育出逾十萬名校友，每年招收近兩萬名學生，包含逾六千名國際學生。於2006年薩里大學拓展與海外院校的合作關係，與中國東北財經大學合作開設優質的商管與旅遊旅館管理學位課程。
近年來大學著重於校區的擴建與設備的更新，斥資三千萬英鎊於校區設施的興建與增設，設施包含: 學生宿舍、運動園區、圖書館與學習中心、常春藤藝術中心 (Ivy Arts Centre)、獸醫學學院、5G創新中心 (5G Innovation Centre)，後者為全球通信傳播研究的先驅之一。
• 鹿丘校區 (Stag Hill Campus): 大學主校區，鄰近市中心，為英國知名的優美綠地校區之一，擁有廣大的壯麗草原、湖岸美景。校區內設有教學區、學生餐廳、咖啡廳、學生酒吧、市集、書店、郵局、銀行、生活商店等機構，宛若一座小型社區，為一處兼具便利與舒適的生活環境，更是學習的理想場所。
• 莊園校區 (Manor Park Campus): 大學第二校區，位於市郊，擁有便捷的交通可前往市中心。該校區為獸醫學學院以及薩里運動園區 (Surrey Sports Park) 的所在地；同時設立廣大的學生宿舍區。

環境介紹
薩里郡 (Surrey) 座落於英格蘭東南部，位於大倫敦區 (Greater London) 以西南方，郡內最具規模的城市為吉爾福德市 (Guildford)。薩里郡的蓬勃發展起源於中世紀後期羊毛織品製造業的崛起，該產業使薩里郡成為英國織品製造業的中心，並為當時期英國的主要出口產業，為居民帶來大量的商機與財富。現今，薩里郡是一處富裕的區域，為英國生產總值最高的郡縣，同時為倫敦周邊城市中人口密度第三高的城市。
薩里郡擁有十分便捷的交通樞紐，搭乘火車前往首都-倫敦市中心僅需約四十分鐘車程；同時鄰近英國兩大國際機場，搭乘火車約五十分鐘便可抵達希思羅機場 (Heathrow Airport) 與蓋威克機場 (Gatwick Airport)。薩里郡為英國森林占地最廣的郡縣，擁有豐富的自然資源，南區規劃為優美的風景區，同時設立四座賽馬場地、以及符合國際賽事標準的高爾夫球場。該區域自早期便興建眾多的典雅鄉間別墅，包含: 十六世紀都鐸王朝的露絲里莊園 (Loseley Park)、十八世紀帕拉第奧式建築的克蘭頓之家 (Clandon House)。此外，當地的地標建築包含: 壯麗的吉爾福德大教堂 (Guildford Cathedral)、展示著薩里郡汽車發展歷史的布魯克蘭茲博物館 (Brooklands Museum)、以及主題樂園-索普公園 (Thorpe Park)。
薩里郡因優美的地理環境與幽靜的森林景色而成為眾多知名作家創作故事的背景，包含: 珍‧奧斯汀的艾瑪 (Emma)、伊恩‧麥克伊旺的贖罪 (Atonement)、JK羅琳的哈利波特之家 (Harry Potter)。此外，薩里郡設有兩所知名大學，分別為: 倫敦大學皇家哈洛威學院 (Royal Holloway, University of London)、以及薩里大學 (University of Surrey)，兩所頂尖的學府引領地區的學習與藝文氛圍。
學校設施
薩里大學擁有豐富的圖書藏書、以及舒適的閱覽空間，圖書館內規劃近兩千閱覽座位、以及適合進行團體討論的學習空間，同時設有服務中心，協助需要查詢資訊的學生。電腦資訊中心設有近六百台電腦設備，配有豐富的學術資源、新穎的線上學習設備，提供學生多元的學習模式選擇。此外，薩里運動園區擁有奧運級別的完善運動設施，包含: 草坪運動場、各式球場、攀岩場、健身設備等。
薩里大學的廣大校區擁有設立眾多餐廳、學生酒吧、劇院、展演空間、電影院、藝廊、滑冰場、市集、書店、郵局、銀行、生活商店等機構，宛若一座小型社區，為一處兼具便利與舒適的生活環境，更是學習的理想場所。大學的學生會主動為學生謀取福利，管理逾130個學生社團與近50個運動社團；學生會藉由舉辦各式社交活動，協助學生融入當地生活，並認識多元文化。此外，學校的國際部門可協助國際學生處理各種事宜，同時提供就業諮詢服務。
住宿相關
薩里大學提供多元的住宿服務，宿舍服務中心位於主校區-鹿丘校區，負責處理所有宿舍申請、以及協助辦理學生入住與生活事宜，同時提供校外租屋等資訊。大學提供逾六千間宿舍名額，皆為自炊式住宿，每間房皆設有網路設備、個人物品保險服務，並提供: 桌椅、桌燈、書櫃、衣櫥、床。此外，各宿舍區皆設置共用廚房設備包含: 冰箱、微波爐、烤箱、各式烹飪用具，並設置交誼中心、自助洗衣設備、服務中心。
• 鹿丘校區宿舍: 該校區的宿舍房型多為套房；宿舍區鄰近郵局、銀行、書店、藥局、便利商店、超市、藥局、保健中心。
• 莊園校區宿舍: 宿舍區距離校區約一英里，步行約20分鐘可抵達教學區，設有自行車專用道；宿舍區鄰近餐廳、超市、薩里運動園區、市立醫院。
學校宿舍提供多元的房型選擇，可符合學生們的需求:
• 房型A - 挑高型/經濟型雅房: 約3至4位學生共用一間衛浴、約7至10位學生共用一間廚房。宿舍區包含: Stag Hill Court、Hazel Farm。前者鄰近學生會、火車站、學生酒吧，宿舍周圍設置學生專用人行道；後者距離校區約兩英里，設有免費接駁公車，通勤約20分鐘可抵達校區。
• 房型B/C - 標準型雅房: 約4至5位學生共用一間衛浴、約14位學生共用一間廚房；部分宿舍區設置: 影音室、遊戲室、撞球檯。宿舍區包含: Battersea Court、Surrey Court、Cathedral Court、Stag Hill Court、Twyford Court、University Court、Hazel Farm。
• 房型D - 標準型套房: 房間內包含個人衛浴、約7位學生共用一間廚房。多數宿舍區為於莊園校區。宿舍區包含: Bellerby Court、Twyford Court、University Court、Millennium House、International House。
• 房型E - 加大型套房: 房間內包含個人衛浴、約3至9位學生共用一間廚房。宿舍區包含: Manor Park、Stag Hill Court。
• 房型F - 獨立型套房: 房間內包含個人衛浴與廚房。宿舍區包含: Manor Park。宿舍區鄰近超市、市立醫院，步行約20分鐘即可抵達校區，設置交誼中心、影音室、遊戲室。
課程介紹
薩里大學開設三大學院、二十二所部門，提供多元的學士、碩士、博士課程。大學擁有優質的師資與卓越的研究成果，許多專業領域於英國專業排名皆位於領先的位置，其中最熱門的便是旅遊旅館學系，該學系位列英國專業領域的榜首，此外，電腦科學、土木工程等學系亦十分知名。
